FESTIVAL: Music, dance, workshops, lectures
"Unity in Diversity"
August 10-14, 2022 (LANGUAGE: SWEDISH & ENGLISH)
Organizer: Mundekulla Retreatcenter, Mundekulla Non-profit association
Welcome to a weekend full of dance, music, meetings, creativity, dance, yoga, mindfulness, acrobatics, meditation, lectures, Mundekulla dances, workshops, children's activities, art exhibitions, lectures and not least wonderful concerts in the evenings with artists from near and far.
Many visitors have expressed their appreciation for Mundekulla's idyllic environment with spring lakes to swim in, saunas, cultural landscapes, beautiful buildings with holistic and rewarding meetings! As a participant in the Mundekulla Festival, you automatically become an active co-creator rather than a passive listener.
Over the years, lots of wonderful artists, workshop leaders and not least visitors have contributed to the good atmosphere that is created annually at the Mundekulla Festival. It has been an exciting journey from a dilapidated 'desolate house' that we bought in 1998 to the business that has gradually developed over the years where genuine building tradition has been combined with ecological innovation. Organic food has also been an important ingredient as well as sustainable forest management and our latest investment with solar panels on the entire barn roof ...
The festival is spiced up with meetings across generations as well as national boundaries and urban and rural areas. It is an alcohol / drug-free event for all ages and has also received an award for Sweden's most environmentally friendly festival.
We live in a time when many are worried about the future, but when also very positive things happen and differences can interact towards a larger and richer whole. The negative news tend to catch us while we forget to actually see the constant hopeful development that is taking place in our world. The Mundekulla Festival does not turn a blind eye to the challenges we face, but neither does it turn a blind eye to the opportunities that are constantly present. The festival has been a source of inspiration for many and offered lots of enriching meetings and has initiated many other projects around the country, since its start 24 years ago.

Planting the Children's Tree "It takes a child to raise a village"
In connection with this year's festival, the children will plant a tree as a symbol of the future on the theme "It takes a child to raise a village it takes a village to raise a child". We therefore ask all children to bring a small bottle of water from their hometown. This water will then be mixed with water that children have brought with them from their home villages from all over the world since 1990 in connection with previous tree plantings on the theme "Our uniting water" under the leadership of the organization Globträdet (www.globetree.org). Some world leaders such as Kofi Annan (former UN Secretary-General) have also contributed water. Some of the older children / teenagers will read a declaration about the waters of the world.

"We just want to thank you for four wonderful days during the Mundekulla Festival. So many experiences, feelings and thoughts that were elicited !!! So much creativity, which we have now taken home. We are completely confused. Special thanks for the magical and symbolic night walk. We were first-time visitors, and will definitely return next year. "
